After a serious car crash, I faced a challenging period filled with multiple health issues that led to the prospect of lifelong pharmaceutical interventions. This experience left me disillusioned, prompting a long search for new meaning and wellbeing. My journey took me around the world, exploring holistic therapies and Vedic philosophies such as yoga, meditation, TAO & Thai massage, and more recently, psychotherapy. Often, as the only male participant, I shared and explored challenging insights with like-minded souls. Together, we worked on creating new meaning and letting go of trauma, abuse, and distorted thoughts, replacing them with resilient and resourceful strategies for a meaningful life. I originally thought my future lay in a military career, starting in the Royal Air Force and then transitioning to work as an Avionics specialist. In this role, I trained Saudi nationals to maintain their military aircraft. My arrival in Saudi Arabia coincided with the onset of the Gulf War, triggered by Iraq’s invasion of Kuwait, just under 200 miles from where I was stationed. Fast forward ten years, I returned to the UK and ventured into the IT field, feeling out of my depth because my identity was tied to being a military aircraft specialist, while IT was merely a hobby. Within three years, however, I became an area manager overseeing 650 staff and managing multimillion budgets. Despite this success, I struggled to let go of my old identity. Eventually, I transitioned into consultancy and business coaching, continually shedding old identities and exploring new ones, before returning to the Middle East. I became a day trader, rebuilt a sailing boat in Bahrain, and studied to become a Yachtmaster, while my day job was computerising the Technical training systems for the RSAF. Throughout my travels and various courses, I was on a quest to discover who I was, and what my purpose might be. This was when I was helped in my pursuit by a life-changing car crash. This event became a catalyst for profound change; my journey took on a spiritual and existential dimension, leading me to embrace Vedic philosophy and embark on a new path of discovery. Nowadays as a coach I typically help middle aged women to increase self-awareness, overcome limiting beliefs, and build a new life roadmap with the freedom, fulfillment, and enthusiasm for the life they desire, through 1:1 coaching, online products and books.

Vedic philosophy’s influence transcends religious boundaries, deeply impacting Indian culture across art, music, literature, and ethics. Many festivals throughout India are rooted in Vedic traditions, emphasizing community, gratitude, and reverence for nature. One personally significant event for me was the 2018 Maha Shivratri at Sadhguru’s Isha Yoga Centre in Coimbatore, where 200,000 people gathered. We danced all night, and that week, I experienced a rare moment by getting engaged under the gaze of Adiyogi—a unique event for a Westerner. We also meditated in the Dhyanalinga, a profound meditative space that transcends specific beliefs or rituals. This powerful energy form allowed us to experience life more fully, astonishing us with improved clarity, as we could read the small labels on the hotel shampoo bottles, something we hadn’t been able to do before. This was just one of many celebrations I attended across India, where the festivities highlight life’s abundance and interconnectedness, serving as reminders of our shared human journey (Her Existential Odyssey, 2025).

It's the journey not the destination
Five years ago, when I published my first book, I was still deeply immersed in my own Yogic journey. At that time, many readers found my shared practices to be too complex and abstract, particularly if they were not already familiar with Vedic concepts.
Since then, I have experienced significant personal growth, which I discuss in my latest book. This new perspective allows me to highlight the improvements I’ve made in both my mental and physical well-being. As I have deepened my self-awareness and enhanced my understanding of philosophical concepts, I have also been actively pursuing training in counseling and psychotherapy. This ongoing education continues to shape my insights and practices.
My latest work reflects this evolution, bridging the gap between my earlier experiences and the clearer, more accessible insights I can now offer.

My holistic and therapeutic development included the following courses, and serve as part of my ongoing continuous
development, as everything remains a work in progress so I can manage my emotional wellbeing and have a
better understanding of myself, my life and my clients:
